The blurriness that happens on lower quality TVs is due to a slow refresh rate, meaning that each frame is displayed on screen until that line of pixels is refreshed. The action will have moved on by that time, meaning that the picture can look jumpy. TruMotion is the LG way of displaying movement as accurately as possible.

The refresh rate is 200 MHz meaning that each line of pixels is refreshed multiple times each second. This is then combined with the natural backlighting of all LG TVs means that the action looks much smoother.

2D to 3D TV

The higher end of the LG LCD TV market has screens that will, at the touch of one button, translate the image between a normal 2D image and a stunning 3D picture. You'll still need to have a pair of 3D glasses per person, and as this is new technology, you should expect to pay top dollar for these TVs. The only downside of this technology is that due to the display requirements, you won't be able to get the extreme flat screens of other LG models.
